What I Wore Wednesday

This is my first time linking up to {The Pleated Poppy’s What I Wore Wednesday}& {Real Momma, Real Style}. I often don’t have time to take photos of what I am wearing, but I was home today and thought why not show my baby bump off a little. Today’s agenda consists of some thrifting, lunch, and visiting friends…oh and I can’t forget laundry and cleaning house. I have been in the mood for fall so I thought it was time to get some boots out and see what I had in my diminishing wardrobe that I thought would look nice. Sorry for the bad photos, but I am happy with my outfit for today.

Our Baby!

HOLMQUISTCHASTITYA20110912194219840

Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound! We had no intention of finding out the sex of our little babe and she/he made darn sure we couldn’t change our mind either. Our little one kept his/her legs crossed throughout the entire exam with the umbilical cord between it’s legs so the technician couldn’t peak. Our ultrasound tech ended up being a former basketball player so she made it even more fun for us to see our little one. She sent home lots of pictures with us too!

It is starting to feel like Fall

I am not much of a baker, but every fall I get the urge to bake a few things. Today was once of those days when I wanted to do a little baking. I decided to make some homemade brownies. Nothing spectacular here, but the family really enjoyed having a special homemade treat. I used {THIS} recipe from www.allrecipes.com

Ingredients
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnut halves
Directions
  1. Melt the butter or margarine and mix all ingredients in the order given.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch greased pan.

My growing belly…

0231

Only 5 months, but I feel so much bigger! I was able to feel our little one kicking around for the first time the other day. I have felt slight movement for a few weeks, but this was the first time I put my hand on my belly to feel. I love all the pregnancy milestones!
