Spring Monogram Burlap Wreath

Spring Wreath DSCF5386  DSCF5388   Items needed:

16 inch Wire Wreath Frame
9.5 Chip Board Letter
Light brown pipe cleaners
Ribbon for a bow
2 pieces of burlap 4 inches wide x 6 yards long
My wreath took a total of 12 yards of burlap in length to complete.

The process is a repetitive process. Once you complete the process in one section you just continue to repeat until you circle the entire frame.

Start by pulling the burlap up from under the frame in the innermost opening making a 2 to 3 inch loop. Complete this in the middle and outer opening also. You will secure the first loop with pipe cleaner to the innermost wire.

DSCF5393 DSCF5395 DSCF5396 Once you get to the outer opening you will half twist your burlap to the left. This secures the first line in place. You then repeat the process starting from the outer opening first. Continue to make two more loops in the middle and inner openings. This completes the first section of your wreath.

To begin the next section you will half twist your burlap to the right and begin making a loop in the innermost opening again. Continue and repeat the process until you have filled up the entire frame.

DIY Jewelry Organizer

In February at my monthly {craft night} we made jewelry organizers.

Supplies needed:
1-1x2x8 Pine Furring Strip cut into 1 foot sections
4 cabinet knobs
2 self leveling wall picture hangers
Paint
Drill & Drill bit

DSCF5404

You need to prep your wood strip by drilling holes every couple inches and then sanding the wood down to get a smooth finish. Next attach your picture hangers to the back.

Paint your organizer the your desired color. The white one has a combination of light blue paint, crackle paint and then a top coat of white. The darker one is just one coat of black and then the edges were sanded.

Once your paint is completely dry you can attach and tighten your knobs.DSCF5402

The great thing about this project is it can be used for more than just jewelry.

I have also used mine to hang tote bags and purses.

February Craft Night

I have been so blessed lately to be able to host & facilitate a monthly craft night in my small town. I started in November and each month it has continued to grow beyond my expectations! I am a little behind in showing our projects and photos, but thought it was time I get caught up. You can see the January Craft Night {HERE}.DSCF5264 Our February project was Necklace organizers made from cabinet knobs and a small piece of wood. Menards was having a great $1 sale on tons of clearance knobs so I really scored when shopping for this project. I also ordered quite a few cabinet knobs from D. Lawless Hardware. Let me tell you! I was so impressed with ordering from them. Shipping was free over $50. I submitted my order on Friday and the package arrived on my doorstop on Monday. Great prices too!
