Word of Heart: Picture Your New Year

PICTURE YOUR NEW YEAR
"What is a vision? It is a compelling image of an achievable future."
-- Laura Berman Fortgang

Hi everyone,
For many years now, three dear friends and I have gathered at the start of the New Year to create personal mandalas, also known as vision boards.
Armed with scissors and glue and great food, we pour through old magazines searching for the perfect words, pictures and images to capture our current dreams for ourselves. We then artfully arrange (or just plaster) those images on bristol boards in colours of our choice.
This is a spontaneous expression of magic. It never ceases to amaze me how we each find the perfect symbols to match our personal hearts' desires. And as we can now call upon years of experience of this, we each know the power of these mandalas, hung in offices and bedrooms, to inspire and reflect our lives over the course of the year.
Do we have goals set before we embark on this adventure? Not usually. We might have identified specific words like 'fun' or 'abundance' that we'd like to see posted but we never have a solid agenda for what is to be created. This is very much an intuitive process. As such, we get proof every year that our higher self is very present and active in guiding our paths. This is always very good news!
I urge you to try it. Do it on your own or gather soul sisters and make a party of it. Be sure to keep your mandala visible throughout the year so you can periodically connect with it and be reminded of those lofty visions that are ready to manifest for you. Because that's what this is all about -- bringing dreams to life.
This is way more fun than New Year's resolutions!

P.S. Next week, I'll be releasing my program for the 7 key steps to empowerment. Watch for it!
