DIY Wedding: Guest Sign In

I am very blessed to be surrounded by loving, supportive and helpful friends and family. Last Sunday I was able to have a few of my bridesmaids over to help out with some wedding crafting and tasks. We worked on wrapping old jars with canvas burlap and lace, cutting out bunting flags and punching paper hearts. Later in the evening I was able to start assembling our guest sign-in. I wanted something creative and untraditional. After scouring Pinterest I came across this photo and decided to use it as my inspiration piece.

Earlier in May I had purchased a 32 X 32 blank canvas from Hobby Lobby and cream canvas frabric from Walmart. I wrapped the canvas in the fabric and stapled it along the back. I then got to work laying out a pattern with the paper hearts.

A quarter of the way through the project I realized I needed more hearts so I decided to add a third color to the pattern.043049

I am in love with how it turned out! I can’t wait to have it displayed for all of friends and family. Our wedding countdown has begun…78 days

  1. Very cute! I found you through the Happy Hour link up. I too am DIY'ing my wedding and I've been hunting for an idea for the guest book-- I love yours, but I'm a little confused-- do the guests sign the hearts? Are the hearts already attached when they sign them?
    Thanks!
