Vintage Waterscape Gallery Wall

Happy Wednesday!

I love to find vintage goods at thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales. It is one of my most favorite past times! I am often on the look out for interesting items to fill my Etsy shop.

I accumulated these three painting at different times over the Summer & Fall. My intention was to add them to my shop, but I kept setting them aside holding off on posting them.

I was working on some photos last week for a shop update and again was having a hard time including them in my shop items. I decided I would put them together on the wall to see if I liked them.

I have to say that I love them together!
I love the colors and eclectic vintage mix.

They are keepers!

Vintage Crate Shelves

Happy Monday!

Have I told you before how much I love finding a new use for old things? One of my favorite things to find from thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales are old wooden crates. Size or shape does not matter! I always find a use for a good old crate!

When putting our “all purpose” room together I wanted to display some of my eclectic collections. I thought that using a few of the various crates I had accumulated would be a fun way to do this.

My little helper wanted to smile for you all!

The shelves are full of so many things I love! Old tin, crayons, milk glass, heart stones, old books… so many things!

I wanted to share today one of my favorite thrift finds!

I have been on the look out for an owl cookie jar for quite a while now. I had searched Etsy over and over for one, but they were always too expensive for my taste.

Then I found this…

for this price…!

I was somewhat giddy with excitement! I couldn’t believe that what I had been looking for was right there for that price!

Just another one of the many reasons why I love thrifting!

Thrifty Goodness

Oh my…it has been awhile! I wanted to share a few recent thifting finds! I am so itching for flea market & yard sale weather! I can’t wait for warmer sunnier days!

Wooden Wedding Details

I thought it was time to start sharing some of our wedding details. July & August were so busy with all the details of planning our wedding. September was busy with our family starting school which means the kids are going back to school and we are going back to work.

Life is finally starting to feel like it is somewhat slowing down or at least falling into more of a routine each day. Which hopefully means I can dedicate more time to blogging.

I found this box at a yard sale for $5 in May.

It was in need of a good cleaning and a coat of white paint!

Once cleaned I really liked the patina of the wood and decided to keep it as is. This wood hue of the box is what set the tone for the other wooden items I was using in our rustic wedding décor.

I found Miniwax Red Mahogany that matched really well!

I gathered all of the items I wanted to stain. The list of items kept growing all summer. I finally had a day where I could lay out most everything and begin transforming all my finds.

I found these cheese boxes at Goodwill for $1.99 & $2.99. I wasn’t sure what I was going to use them for, but I figured I would stain them and use them somewhere.
